Complementary food of crushed plants, to distribute during development of snails: GROWING AND FINISHING
Complementary food of crushed plants to distribute in finishing period of snails.
FOR 3 to 4 weeks before harvest.
We must give the food, according to the appetite of the snails, and depending on weather conditions: temperature, light, humidity, wind, etc ... You have to distribute little at a time, but renewed frequently. If it remains on the feeders, you have put too much! If the feeders are still empty, you do not put enough!
We therefore need a little flour every day, or every 2-3 days as needed.
Count between 30 and 40 grams of food in total, to produce a Large Gray snail 20 grams over a period of about 5 months. For Petit Gris snail 10 grams, it takes between 15 and 20 grams of food.
Quantity to be distributed per day for 100 snails:
Gray big (Aspersa maxim): about 20 to 27 g of food.
Gray small (Aspersa muller): about 10 to 14 g of food
It is also desirable that the snails have green: Rape, legumes, Cruciferous, Plantain, Chard, Spinach, etc ...
The meal should not be in one place, especially not in a corner.
You have to use planks untreated wood, to serve as feeders: 20 cm minimum width (length to conform to the surface of the park) to have in height (the snail is always trying to climb) and distribute evenly over the entire area of the park. The underside of the feeders also serve as a bonding surface. Last trick you can put a food strand in the middle of the board!
